Bikuku-Verein für Bildung, Kunst und Kultur freut sich am 24.4.2022 über den Auftritt des Lofoten Cello Duo
im Zentrum am Platz, Maurer Hauptplatz 8, 1230 Wien - Eingang auf der Rückseite der Erste Bank
Das Lofoten Cello Duo wird uns mit Klang und Stimme in eine Welt entführen, die unser Herz berührt.
Eintritt ab 15:30
Beginn: 16:00
Dauer in etwa eine Stunde, danach Beisammensein.
Dieser Event ist von der Zeitstruktur so gewählt, dass auch Familien es besuchen können und im Anschluss Zeit für Kennenlernen, Gespräch und Vernetzung gegeben ist.

Begonnen hat ihre Zusammenarbeit in einer Jugendstilwohnung in Barcelona.
Bei Wermut und selbstgebrautem Bier waren die zwei Cellisten begeistert dieses, ihnen nun schon vertraute Format der Fusion skandinavischer und katalanischer Volksmusik fortzusetzen.
Weiters haben sie auch komplexe Balkanrhythmen, melancholische jüdische Melodien, Klänge aus dem Kaukasus und Mittleren Osten und eigene Kompositionen im Gepäck.
Zusätzlich zu beiden Celli und Nyckelharpa kommen die Stimmen zum Einsatz, wodurch eine für ein Duo unerwartete Dichte entsteht. Ihr Repertoire verbindet die vielfältige mündliche Tradition der Ethnomusik aus aller Welt von jeher bis zur Gegenwart.
Nach Lynx (2016) und Cervus (2018) werden sie im Laufe des Jahres ihr neues Studioalbum Octopoda (2022) präsentieren.
